Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a CMM Operator role in Phoenix, AZ. Key Responsibilities:- Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect precision‑machined parts and assemblies.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate dimensional inspection.
- Perform first article, in‑process, and final inspections to verify compliance with customer and company standards.
- Develop and edit CMM programs using appropriate software to support new and existing products.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot CMM equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Document inspection results and maintain detailed quality records in accordance with company procedures.
- Identify non‑conformances and collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized inspection area.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or coursework in metrology or machining preferred.
- 2+ years of experience operating and programming CMM equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
- Experience with CMM software (such as PC‑DMIS or similar platforms) is highly desirable.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
- Ability to lift up to 40+ lbs and stand for extended periods as needed.
