Deburr Technician / Hand Finisher
Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing
Location: North Phoenix - 2688 E Rose Garden Ln, Phoenix, AZ 85050
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.
Shift Options- Day Shift
- Weekend Shift
- Night Shift (20% night shift differential)
- Perform deburring, edge-breaking, and surface finishing on machined aerospace parts.
- Use hand tools (files, scrapers, Exacto knives, rotary tools, Dremels, and small pneumatic tools).
- Inspect parts visually and dimensionally to ensure surface finish and edge conditions meet specifications.
- Follow work instructions, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
- Identify and report any part defects, non-conformities, or tooling issues.
- Handle delicate or complex parts with care to avoid damage.
- Support team members in meeting production deadlines and quality goals.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including ITAR and other compliance regulations.
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Attention to detail and a high level of patience for fine finishing work.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading and geometric tolerances (a plus).
- Willingness to learn inspection and measurement techniques.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Dependability and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
- Vocational training or coursework in manufacturing, blueprint reading, or quality control is a plus.
- Experience preferred.
- On-the-job training provided.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Walking, bending, squatting, reaching.
- Regular use of hands, wrists, and fingers to handle small tools, deburring instruments, and precision components.
- Ability to grip, hold, and manipulate parts using fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 pounds regularly; occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs may be required.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
- Must tolerate exposure to machining dust, oils, and moderate noise levels in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to work 40+ hours per week in a fast-paced, high-demand, quality environment.
- Must have sufficient verbal and written communication skills and good problem solving skills.
