The Senior Production Planning Analyst will play a key role in supporting and optimizing the site’s production planning processes. This position involves analyzing data, maintaining accurate schedules, and driving process improvements to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery. The Analyst will also develop and maintain work instructions and process documentation to standardize planning practices and support compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed production schedules to meet customer requirements.
- Monitor job progress and proactively identify potential delays or bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align priorities and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect and analyze data related to WIP, inventory, and capacity utilization.
- Prepare reports and dashboards to track KPIs such as on-time delivery, throughput, and resource efficiency.
- Provide actionable insights to improve planning accuracy and operational performance.
- Documentation & Standardization
- Create and maintain work instructions for planning processes and ERP transactions.
- Develop process documentation to ensure consistency and compliance with AS9100 and other regulatory standards.
- Support training initiatives by providing clear and accurate documentation.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline planning workflows and reduce lead times.
- Participate in Lean/Six Sigma projects to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Implement best practices for ERP/MES utilization and planning methodologies.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with production, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure alignment on schedules and priorities.
- Communicate changes and updates clearly to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain analytics (aerospace or manufacturing preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Epicor experience a plus).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles.
- Familiarity with AS9100 and aerospace industry standards.
