Swiss/Turn Mill Programmer

$30 - $35 per hour | Phoenix, AZ | On-Site | Consulting

Job Details

We are seeking a highly experienced Swiss/Turn Mill Programmer to join our manufacturing team as a consultant. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting‑edge technology and machinery, including CNC Swiss Turning Centers, CNC Lathes, and CNC Mills. Successful candidates will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating equipment, performing material planning, and conducting first‑piece inspections.

Responsibilities
  • Program and operate CNC Swiss Turning Centers to manufacture precision components.
  • Develop and implement CNC programs for new projects using G Code.
  • Perform first‑piece inspection to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Set up and operate CNC Lathes and CNC Mills.
  • Participate in design reviews to improve product manufacturability.
  • Provide technical support to the production team and troubleshoot issues.
  • Perform material planning to ensure adequate supplies for production.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve manufacturing processes and overall product quality.
  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Swiss Machinist.
  • Proficiency in G Code and CNC programming.
  • Experience with CNC Lathes and CNC Mills.
  • Strong knowledge of material planning processes.
  • Proven experience in first‑piece inspection.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot quickly.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality work.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is preferred.
