FAA Assembly Mechanic - Level 1

Job Overview

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an FAA Assembly Mechanic – Level 1 in Phoenix, AZ.

• Construct and assemble mechanical components, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, and conduct tests to verify functionality and safety.
• Identify parts that require replacement due to wear, damage, or malfunction.
• Place orders for new parts as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
• Operate a powered industrial truck as required.
• Work under immediate supervision, following pre‑established guidelines, and report to a supervisor or manager.
• Lift up to 30 lbs without significant repetitions.
• Comply with overtime approval requirements and wear required safety gear, including steel‑toed footwear.

• High school diploma or GED preferred; apprenticeship or formal training is a plus.
• 0–2 years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Familiarity with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
