Position:
Assembly and Repair Technician – 2nd Shift (Monday – Friday, 2:30–10:30 pm)

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and repair a variety of electronic units using prescribed repair techniques.
  • Identify correct parts, components, wires, and materials needed for assembly and repair.
  • Perform soldering of electronic components using industry-standard techniques and tools.
  • Remove suspect or failed components and install new components accurately.
  • Operate assembly machines and ensure proper functioning.
  • Measure, mix, and apply chemicals and adhesives according to safety and operational guidelines.
  • Read and interpret technical data including component maintenance manuals, assembly instructions, and engineering prints.
  • Communicate work status to team members and support staff, ensuring seamless workflow.
  • Document work clearly and concisely and maintain accurate records.
  • Utilize computer skills and office software applications.
Work Schedule & Training

Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:30 – 10:30 pm (2nd Shift)

Training schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm for approximately 60 days.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Work environment may require weekend and holiday support. Employees may be exposed to products of various weights and sizes, equipment with moving parts, chemicals that may emit fumes. Safety risk mitigation includes wearing static‑control and personal protective equipment.

Physical demands include:

  • Distinguishing colors and meeting vision requirements.
  • Bending, stooping, reaching, turning as needed to place units in test stands, pick up totes, place units on rack, etc.
  • Using hands for extended periods of time to perform testing and troubleshooting tasks (e.g., grasping, holding, picking, placing, twisting, fine manipulation).
  • Standing for 2‑hour increments without opportunity to sit.
  • Lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Transporting product with or without product carts.

Qualifications

Required

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years in the absence of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with electronic assembly.

Preferred

  • Certification of IPC Class III Solder Exam.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry.
