Position OverviewThe Warehouse Clerk works in the warehouse and production area of the facility. Their primary responsibility is to ensure the production team has all supplies necessary to perform their job responsibilities, take completed mail to the warehouse, shrink wrap skids, load mail on trucks and generate accurate packing slips and summaries for USPS and Pitney Bowes Presort. Their secondary responsibilities include unloading trucks with materials, stocking the warehouse, maintaining the inventory system, maintaining the baler and keeping the work areas clean and organized.
This position requires adherence to OSHA safety standards for operating motorized pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks and clamp trucks. It is required to be onsite in our Production Facility in Tempe, AZ. Available shifts include 1st Shift (6am–2pm) and 2nd Shift (2pm–10pm).
What You Will Do- Attention to detail is required; all paperwork must be 100% accurate when handling jobs.
- Complete all work in a timely manner to meet carrier pick up times (USPS, PB, Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, Carrier).
- Keep production areas stocked.
- Assist with ordering necessary materials to ensure proper inventory levels.
- Self‑motivated individual with excellent time management skills.
- Clean and organized.
- Handle various warehouse motorized equipment safely and effectively.
- Good communication skills.
- Notify Production Supervisor of any shipping problems, paperwork issues or carrier delays.
- Support production staff in all departments.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and instructions relevant to the job, position and department accurately.
- Follow established HIPAA, Compliance & Security policies, department policies, procedures, work instructions, and safety and environmental guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Preferred:
Experience in a shipping environment. - Ability to read and interpret documents such as paperwork, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Basic computer skills (data entry, etc.).
- High School diploma or equivalent GED required.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Operate motorized equipment safely.
- Frequent bending and stooping required.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs. or more.
- Ability to push large paper rolls.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Use standard office equipment.
- Maintain good attendance.
- Willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods (November/December/January).
