CNC Machinist

Machine production parts and rework out-of-spec supplier parts to print dimensions using appropriate machining equipment, tools, and processes. Depending on experience, may also build fixtures for assembly and prototypes for engineering.

• Read, understand, and communicate blueprint detail.
• Proficient use of precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and tools.
• Set up programs, operate, and maintain machining equipment including CNC, manual mills, saws, presses, drills, and other equipment.
• Design and craft fixtures to improve volume and productivity where appropriate.
• Other duties may be assigned.

  Experience:
  
  High School diploma or equivalent; and minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  Skills:
  
  Will be required to interact with manufacturing software throughout the day for the job schedule and work order execution.
• Language & Communications Ability:
  For business and safety reasons, ability to write reports and business correspondence in English; effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional resources (Production Supervisors, Quality, Engineering, etc.).

  Skills:
  
  Ability to use all varieties of hand and machine tools.
