Drone Operator Role
- This position is searching for a skilled Part
107 certified operator with extensive experience operating drones via a remote control. - The qualified candidate will act as an operations specialist assisting in the development and test of cutting-edge safety related technologies. The role includes mission planning and lightweight maintenance duties.
- The candidate should demonstrate attention to detail, a safety-oriented attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology. This individual will also conduct operation readiness activities and logistics planning as needed.
- The candidate will join a Research and Development team working on inventing and developing new transformative experiences.
- Remote control drone piloting
- Data Collection
- Working a night shift- 3 pm-11:30 pm
- Drive to offsite work locations daily (work vehicle will be provided).
- Work variable shifts and schedules including weekends when applicable. Schedule changes frequently depending on certain daylight conditions.
- Overtime may be required and approved based off of work assignment/deliverables.
- Mission planning, lightweight maintenance duties.
- 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
- 2+ years of commercial drone piloting experience (bigger commercial drones).
- Strong pre-flight planning process
- Employees must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 50 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- Experience with commercial UAS industry
- Aviation safety experience as a Safety Officer or similar
- Needs more than just DJI, remote control airplanes would work too
- Must be able to fly in manual mode- specifically no GPS
- Must have professional experience flying drones, no less than 50 hours logged flight time
