Salary Range: $21.00 To $24.00 Hourly

Southwest Mobile Storage specializes in modifying storage containers for sale or lease. We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated Painter to join our hardworking shop team, where communication and teamwork thrive. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing and painting manufactured parts and containers, ensuring all projects meet high-quality standards.

• Prepare and paint manufactured parts and containers to meet quality standards.
• Mask surfaces to ensure accurate paint application.
• Repair dents or holes in parts prior to painting.
• Operate hand-held paint spray guns and rollers to apply paint and primer.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the paint department.
• Maintain, repair, and ensure proper functioning of all painting tools and equipment.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on all painting projects.
• Follow industry safety protocols, including the use of respirators and personal protective equipment.
• Work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while meeting production deadlines.

• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to work from ladders and heights.
• Must pass a medical evaluation and fit test for respirator use.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and materials as required.
• Physical stamina to squat, bend, and stand for extended periods.

• 3-5 years of painting experience in a similar industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Mechanical skills, including the ability to operate and maintain paint sprayers.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and respirator usage.
• Ability to perform quality assurance and quality control checks on painted surfaces.
• Knowledge of color theory and painting application techniques.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently while following safety guidelines.
