Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Specialist, you may be assigned to an Inline or Offline Production support role. Inline Manufacturing Specialists directly support the production line while Offline roles support the line in limited capacity and handle administrative coordination to keep the line running. Some work may overlap between inline and offline for cross‑training or short‑term support per business needs.

  • Candidates must be willing and able to work on‑site at our Phoenix, Arizona facility.
Inline Manufacturing Specialist duties
  • Work in the Manufacturing Command Center (MCC) or FAB using intelligent systems to drive automated activities on the production floor.
  • Work in a clean room environment wearing a clean‑room garment (protective eyewear, gloves, a hood, and a mask) to protect the wafers from outside particles.
  • Learn and become familiar with manufacturing/engineering processes and stay informed of any changes in procedures.
  • Work with supporting modules to bring the process/tools back to baseline.
  • Handle time‑sensitive material safely and efficiently.
  • Perform various tasks in a disciplined manner in accordance with SOPs (Standard Operation Procedure) and report problems to supervisors. Assist in creating training or SOP documents.
  • Monitor integrated systems to ensure automated tools run properly and assist in handling abnormal events that occur in production.
  • Train new team members once skill level reaches an appropriate threshold.
  • Maintain regular attendance and reliability, which is critical.
  • Must be able to perform the duties of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Offline Manufacturing Specialist duties
  • Work in a clean room environment wearing a clean‑room garment (protective eyewear, gloves, a hood, and a mask).
  • Perform clean‑room operations and material management, auditing, training activities, enforce protocol, and conduct fab tours.
  • Use different systems to handle inventory balance, support PR/PO/JCAN, and execute settings changes.
  • Coordinate material/product transfers between fabs.
  • Support functions related to work‑area set‑up (e.g., photoresist cabinet installations, wafer‑start area layout, gown‑room set‑up).
  • Learn and become familiar with manufacturing/engineering processes and stay informed of any changes in procedures.
  • Plan, support, and execute company or community engagement events.
  • Perform various tasks in a disciplined manner in accordance with SOPs and report problems to supervisors. Assist in creating training or SOP documents.
  • Train new team members once skill level reaches a certain threshold.
  • Maintain regular attendance and reliability, which is critical.
  • Must be able to perform the duties of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements
  • Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
Physical Requirements
  • Specific vision abilities required, including the ability to adjust focus, good eyesight with color differentiation, with or without vision correction.
