Fabrication Technician (Contract)

Location:

Phoenix, AZ

Pay: $21.44/hour

Schedule:

4/40 Work Week

We are seeking a hands‑on Fabrication Technician to support the fabrication and assembly of advanced composite materials and aerospace components. This contract position is ideal for candidates with manufacturing, production assembly, composites, aerospace, or technical trade experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, assemble, trim, cut, grind, and finish composite material components and subassemblies according to work instructions and engineering specifications.
  • Work with materials including fiberglass, epoxy, plastics, ceramics, alloys, foams, adhesives, sealants, and resins.
  • Operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, power tools, measuring devices, scales, and calipers.
  • Follow manufacturing procedures, templates, and quality standards to ensure product accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform bonding, cutting, and assembly of aircraft seating and composite-related components.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Read and interpret work orders, shop instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Support additional production and manufacturing tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing, production assembly, composites, aerospace, or related experience; technical school training may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Ability to work with composite materials, adhesives, and production equipment.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to stand for up to 10-hour shifts and lift or move materials up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass a respirator physical and safely work with manufacturing chemicals and materials.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and workplace safety.
