Assistant Production Manager; Exential

Exential is seeking experienced Manufacturing Supervisors to lead production teams on our 2nd and 3rd shifts in Tolleson, AZ. In this role, you will guide and optimize production activities within your assigned area, drive team performance, and apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, quality, and workflow.

You will play a key role in meeting production targets, maintaining high standards, and ensuring a safe, collaborative, and high‑performing work environment.

• Leadership
  — Supervise leads and production employees to achieve daily output goals while reinforcing Exential’s values of teamwork, integrity, and accountability.
• Human Resources
  — Recruit, train, coach, and motivate team members to build a productive and engaged workforce.
• Performance Management
  — Conduct evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and administer disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Workplace Environment
  — Maintain a fair, respectful, and team‑oriented culture.
• Administrative Tasks
  — Track attendance, approve time‑off requests, review weekly timecards, and manage email communications.
• Operational Excellence
  — Establish and enforce production and quality standards, ensure safety compliance, and drive continuous improvement across processes.
• Cross‑department communication
  — Collaborate with other production areas to ensure schedule alignment and customer satisfaction.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing, continuous flow, and CQI methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to provide effective coaching and performance feedback.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to interpret production schedules and work orders.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage employees in decision‑making.
• Experience in a high‑volume production environment is required.

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

You will work in a mixed office and manufacturing environment. The production floor may involve periodic increases in noise levels, while the office remains quiet and professional. Safety glasses and required PPE must be worn in designated areas, with requirements varying by location.
