Electronics Technician, Manufacturing Engineer, Electronics Assembler
Mercury Systems is seeking skilled solderers to support a variety of production tasks involving PCBs and PCBAs. To be successful, you will need to demonstrate skill with soldering SMT and through hole components, rework, and repair of boards. This is a 2nd shift opportunity, daily hours will be from 2:30 pm to 12:00 am, and overtime is available and encouraged.
Job Responsibilities- Use soldering irons to attach electronic components with SMT and Thru hole technologies.
- Interpret job routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics.
- Perform a variety of inspections to ensure assemblies meet or exceed IPC standards.
- Perform pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts.
- Modify, solder, rework, and repair assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
- Other duties as assigned by Lead or Supervisor.
- Complete an on-site soldering assessment to J-STD-001 standards during the interview.
- Possess meticulous hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Be able to work 2nd Shift hours, 2:30 pm to 12:00 am.
- Have 3–5 years of electronics assembly and inspection experience with in‑process soldering (both through hole and surface mount).
- Be willing to work extended hours utilizing a microscope to perform inspection and solder touch‑ups.
- Have hand soldering experience.
- Know ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures.
- Hold a High School Diploma or GED.
- Rework/repair, wire attach, and mechanical assembly experience.
- Detail oriented and able to multitask.
IPC-610, J-STD-001 and 7711/7721 certification preferred. - Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet production and customer needs.
- 10+ years related experience preferred.

Fulltime Equivalent Job Grade Salary Range for this position:
- $44,000.00 – $88,000.00 annual salary for in‑office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD, or TX, and all remote employees.
- $49,300.00 – $98,600.00 annual salary for in‑office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH, or MA.
- $51,900.00 – $ annual salary for in‑office or hybrid employees in NJ.
