Sr Engineering Technician - Fabricator
Be part of a team that designs and develops test procedures and standards for highly complex products. You will participate in the development and certification of environment test functionality across multiple products and applications. This will enable you to support new products, processes, standards, or operational plans within the organization’s business strategies, with a direct impact on business results.
You will report to our Test Engineering Manager and work out of the Phoenix Engines site in person.
Key Responsibilities- Operate machine equipment such as lathes, milling machines and EDMs to produce custom hardware
- Fabrication and installation of various measurement sensors used in testing
- Fabricate tooling and fixtures of own design to successfully accomplish tasks
- Effectively communicate job estimate and status with work group and internal customers
- Manually lift up to 35 lbs.
- High school degree or its equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in fabrication of mechanical components
- Some experience in test support
- Practical experience working with engineering equipment
- Ability to find effective solutions based on root causes and apply six sigma procedures
- Sound technical judgment and opinions
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with others in a team or project setting
- Self‑motivated with ability to work with little supervision and consistently take initiative
- Ability to make timely decisions in complex situations, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness
