We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team as an Operation Supervisor. The Operation Supervisor will oversee the production process and coordinates all activities to ensure enough resources on hand. They can plan workers’ schedules, estimate costs and prepare budgets to ensure workflow meets required deadlines.

Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with:

  • Five plus years of manufacturing management experience including 5+ years of lean and continuous improvement experience.
  • Training in Lean or Lean Six Sigma is a plus
  • Ability to operate with high urgency and personal initiative, while maintaining good coordination and communication with staff.
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinates production, distribution, warehousing, and sales in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by the company.
  • Recommend the hiring, firing, discipline, promotion, demotion of employees within span of control.
  • Reviews production costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division.
  • Provide leadership and direct all manufacturing activity on site ensuring best practice/compliance with Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental and customer requirements.
  • Promote a culture of adherence in cost control and productivity, ensuring maximum focus across all manufacturing activities based on established key performance indicators.
  • Assume responsibility for site maintenance in addition to plant and equipment procurement ensuring cost effectiveness and rigorous implementation of preventative maintenance program.
  • Active participation in production planning process ensuring commercial plans is consistent with management objectives and budgets.
  • Set aggressive but achievable targets for productivity, customer service, and safety. Continuously monitor progress towards targets and initiate corrective actions.
  • Develop strong relationships with field sales representatives and customers to meet high service expectations.
  • Work with Continuous Improvement team to improve order integrity and implement Lean/Visual management techniques.
  • Any other responsibilities deemed necessary by Leadership.
