Maintenance of ATD inventory, Calibration of sled lab instrumentation and tools
Essential Functions- Responsible for ATD and instrumentation maintenance, specifically:
- Installation of ATD instrumentation
- Routine tear down, inspection and repair
- Annual pre-calibration tear down, inspection and repair
- Post calibration instrumentation installation and assembly
- ATD damage repair (Mechanical, Electrical)
- Instrumentation termination and cable repair
- Tracking and scheduling of all sled lab instrumentation and tool inventory calibrations and certifications
- Maintain ATD spare part inventory
- Perform routine and non-routine testing as needed
- Ability to perform duties of test technician I
- Fine motor skills; able to work with small parts (i.e 0-80 fasteners)
- Soldering, cable termination
- Familiar with common electronic equipment;
Multimeter, O-scope, signal sources - Familiar with data acquisition basics
- Able to read drawings
- Basic computer skills; navigating a network, data entry
- Good communication skills; verbal & written
- Ability to prioritize assigned tasks with respect to testing and/or lab priorities.
- Able to communicate effectively with test lab leadership, support staff and engineering staff.
- Strong situational awareness

Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a Dynamic Test Lab/Engineering environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly exposed to moving mechanical parts and equipment This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Work hours are Monday through Friday and shift start times are determined by your department manager. Employee may be asked to volunteer for overtime and weekend work as needed.
TravelIndividuals with this level of knowledge and experience may be asked to travel; typically it would be to support testing at another lab but could include industry events or specialized training.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- 2 Yr Technical Degree
- New Employee Orientation.
- OSHA Hazard Communication-Final Rule “Right to Know Law”.
- Safe Fork Lift Operation.
- Inflator Device Handling, Storage and Transportation.
- Sled Lab OP-700 Dynamic Test Sled Procedure
- Sled Lab WI-700A, WI-750A, C, E, G, and H,J, WI 850N and WI Static Airbag Test
Education and Experience
- 4 Year Technical Degree
