/OD Grind Machinist – Part Time Weekend Shift

Location:

3617 E La Salle St, Phoenix, AZ 85040

Shift: Part time – Saturday & Sunday 6am-3pm

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.

Relevant experience is required for this position. Please do not apply if you do not have grind machinist experience.

• Operate grinding machines to produce parts to established blueprint and engineering specifications for aerospace applications.
• Manual and CNC grinding on Heald , Toyoda OD manual and CNC, Okamoto CNC  & OD, and Kellenberger CNC.
• Setup & operate to produce high precision aerospace components on ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
• Setup and grind angles, contours, lines, spheres, etc. onto surfaces.
• Complete all required paperwork properly – inspection reports, SPC, job travelers, etc.
• Maintain tolerances of .0002” - .0005” while maintaining a high level of productivity.
• Operate two machines regularly and work independently.
• Problem solve and communicate process improvement suggestions with management.

• Familiarity with Toyoda, Okamoto, and Kellenberger grinders;
  Heald experience is a plus.
• Proficient with standard types of inspection equipment – micrometers, bore gauges, sunnen gauge, and test indicators.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T, dimensions, tolerances, and notes.
• Experience holding tolerances of .0002” - .0005”.
• Strong attention to detail, quality-focused, and willing to learn.
• General knowledge of standard shop practices and equipment.

High School or GED. 2-5+ years /OD grinding experience required.
