CNC Programmer

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a CNC Programmer role in Phoenix, AZ. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for precision machining, innovation, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining excellence at every stage of their manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, and optimize CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines) to produce high-quality precision parts.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to develop efficient machining strategies.
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and tool longevity.
• Edit and troubleshoot CNC programs to resolve machining issues and improve cycle times.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality teams to ensure parts meet design specifications and tolerances.
• Conduct first-article inspections and support ongoing quality checks during production runs.
• Maintain documentation for programs, setups, and process improvements.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in machining processes, tooling, and workflows.
• Promptly report equipment issues, programming errors, or quality concerns to leadership.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining/programming preferred.
• Proven experience programming CNC machines using G-code and/or CAM software.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, materials, tolerances, and GD&T.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with quality inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
