*** 1st shift schedule, Monday - Thursday 5am - 3:30pm***

*** Effective June 1, 2026 Sign-On Bonus: $2,000. Paid out: 1st half 30 days, and 2nd half in 60 days once on Modern's payroll.***

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Hand finish a wide variety of metal parts and castings for the aerospace and semiconductor industries
• Use hand and power tools to grind, sand, clean, break edges, and deburr parts in preparation for further finishing

Knowledge & Abilities:

• Ability to use basic deburring and hand-finishing tools, including right angle grinders, die grinders, orbital sanders, and air pens (manual and power)
• Knowledge and proper use of calipers, torque wrenches, helicoil, keensert, and Lee plug installation tools

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 0–3 years of hand finishing experience preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend English preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Steady hand-eye coordination
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to twist/turn upper body as required
• Close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus required
• Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
