Assembler - Medical Components
We are seeking candidates for Medical Assembly positions with a focus on a strong work ethic, dependability, and punctuality. This role involves the assembly of small components, and we are prepared to train individuals who demonstrate a positive attitude and a desire to learn. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble small components, such as cutting and polishing glass tubing to customer specifications.
- Perform terminating, cleaving, and polishing of assemblies.
- Terminate fibers in a connector.
- Conduct inspections under a microscope.
- Follow procedures with close attention to detail.
- Operate a component cleaver.
- Work in a cleanroom environment, which requires wearing a "bunny suit".
Required Qualifications
Education:
A High School graduate or equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
At least 2 years of consistent work experience is preferred. Experience with small parts assembly, such as from PCB manufacturing, is beneficial.
Skills:
Candidates should possess good communication skills and integrity. A willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and reliable attendance are essential.
Work Schedule
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Overtime may be available on Saturdays.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate is $20.00 per hour. Pay increases are based on performance, with the potential for senior operators to earn up to $24.00+ per hour. Upon conversion to a full-time employee, benefits include 3 weeks of paid time off.
Interview Process
The process includes an initial screening followed by one in-person interview. Candidates should be prepared to discuss their experience and ask questions about the position and company.
Reliable transportation and the ability to work some overtime may be required from time to time.
A drug screen (No testing for cannabis) and criminal background check need to be completed and cleared prior to starting work.
