The Line Operator assumes responsibilities for all filling operations as directed by the Plant Managers or Supervisors. The job requires a high level of comfort with electronic motorized equipment.
EssentialRoles and Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe working environment, assuring compliance with all plant safety policies and acting as a positive influence on the warehouse floor for other personnel.
- Wearing steel‑toe boots, safety glasses, et al.
- Actively participating in the company safety programs.
- Capable of lifting at least sixty five pounds and required to stand/walk 90% of the work day.
- Meet “Best In Class” expectations for housekeeping.
- Actively participate in CI (Continuous Improvement) Team activities.
- Have in depth understanding of filling machines and filling procedure.
- Rotate through various responsibilities in Manufacturing. Hours will shift during the rotation schedule as needed.
- Move waste and pallets from receptacles to dumpsters.
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Procedures.
- Operate forklift when required within required training and guidelines.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) check on forklift and advise if service needed.
- Communicate with operators from other shifts.
- Perform backup for other manufacturing team members.
- Provide on‑the‑job training to new employees.
- Maintain appropriate licenses and certifications (forklift).
- Follow all Phoenix Manufacturing outlined expected standards and plant rules.
- Other duties as assigned. (replenishing bins, reset floor plan, housekeeping of bathrooms/break room, etc)

Communication/Language Requirements- For safety reasons, ability to read, write, and communicate in English is required.
- Must have ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional publications.
- Must have ability to write routine correspondence.
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
- Formal Lean or Six Sigma Training required.
- Minimum 3 months warehouse or related experience required.
- Electric Pallet Rider and Reach Truck experience required.
- Forklift certification through Dunn‑Edwards program required prior to operation.
- Familiar with PASE and PcVue programming systems.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and other forms.
Distribution, Labs and ManufacturingPhysical Requirements
Some positions in Distribution, Labs and Manufacturing may have physical requirements that include, but are not limited to: lifting of items up to 65 pounds and use of respirator.
