CNC Machinist

Machine production parts and rework out of spec supplier parts to print dimensions using appropriate machining equipment, tools, and processes. Depending on experience, may also build fixtures for assembly and prototypes for engineering.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Read, understand, and communicate blueprint detail
• Proficient use of precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers and tools
• Set up programs, operate, and maintain machining equipment including CNC, manual mills, saws, presses, drills and other equipment.
• Design and craft fixtures to improve volume and productivity where appropriate

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent; and minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Will be required to interact with manufacturing software throughout the day for the job schedule and work order execution
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence in English
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional resources (Production Supervisors, Quality, Engineering, etc.)
• Ability to use all varieties of hand and machine tools

Physical Demands:

• While performing the functions of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, stoop and kneel; use hands, reach with hands and arms; communicate clearly and effectively.
• The employee may also be frequently required to lift up to 20 pounds.
