Position: Machinist - Level 3 FAA (1st shift) 5am-5pm M-F)

As a Machinist Level 3 here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality machined parts by operating and setting up complex machinery with precision and efficiency. You will contribute to maintaining production schedules and ensuring that all parts meet stringent quality standards, supporting our manufacturing operations in Phoenix, AZ.

You will report directly to our Machine Shop Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on an on-site work schedule. (1st shift) 5am-5pm M-F).

In this role, you will impact the overall productivity and quality of our manufacturing processes by applying your advanced machining skills and expertise to deliver parts that meet customer specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate additive manufacturing (AM) machines and associated accessory equipment.
  • Perform cleaning, set up, and routine maintenance of AM equipment.
  • Monitor builds and identify issues related to supports, geometry, or process limitations.
  • Communicate build issues and observations to engineering teams.
  • Interpret Manufacturing Operation and Tooling Sheet and follow detailed work instructions.
  • Utilize enterprise systems (SAP and Team Center) for production tracking and documentation.
  • Apply creative problem‑solving to troubleshoot machine or process‑related issues.
  • Collaborate with technicians and cross‑functional teams to achieve production goals.

US Person Requirement
  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
YOU MUST HAVE Technical Knowledge
  • Understanding of machining fundamentals, including tolerances and measurements, use of precision tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, feeler gauges, torque wrenches), and basic operation of lathe and milling machines.
  • Knowledge of additive manufacturing processes, including build supports and geometric limitations, and ability to identify build issues and communicate findings to engineering.
Systems & Process Knowledge
  • Ability to interpret work instructions and MOTs.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Team Center systems.
  • Understanding of fixed process requirements and adherence to standardized procedures.
Soft Skills
  • Strong communication skills with engineering and project teams.
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Creative problem‑solving and troubleshooting capability.
Primary Focus
  • Machine handling and operation within the Additive Manufacturing environment.
