Position: Cleanroom Technician IV (1st Shift)

UCT is looking for a talented Cleanroom Technician IV to join us in Phoenix, AZ!

The Cleanroom Technician IV is a senior‑level precision handling and contamination control expert responsible for final‑stage processing, inspection, and packaging of semiconductor components within a controlled cleanroom environment.

This role ensures parts meet strict cleanliness, handling, and documentation standards prior to customer delivery and CoA release. The Technician IV leads cleanroom operations, supports critical builds, and drives consistency in particle‑free handling and defect prevention
.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced cleanroom processing, including precision wiping, detailing, and final packaging
  • Execute strict particle‑sensitive handling techniques to prevent contamination or damage
  • Conduct incoming, in‑process, and final inspections for cleanliness, defects, and packaging integrity
  • Review and approve travelers, inspection records, and release documentation
  • Lead daily cleanroom operations, assigning and verifying work across technicians
  • Ensure compliance with cleanroom protocols, gowning standards, and contamination control practices
  • Support first article builds, priority orders, and customer‑specific requirements
  • Identify defects, process gaps, and quality risks; initiate corrective actions
  • Train and mentor junior technicians on handling, inspection, and packaging standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support process traceability
  • Participate in continuous improvement and 6S initiatives
  • May assist with staging, shipping prep, or customer deliveries when required
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Cleanroom behavior, contamination control, and particle prevention
    • Precision handling and packaging for high‑value components
  • Ability to:
    • Work independently in a high‑discipline, high‑precision environment
    • Lead teams and maintain consistent execution of standard work
    • Detect and resolve defects with strong attention to detail
  • Experience with:
    • Inspection methods and quality documentation
    • Semiconductor, aerospace, or similar clean manufacturing environments
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, production systems)
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and process consistency

Qualifications Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 4–6+ years of experience in:
    • Cleanroom manufacturing, semiconductor, aerospace, or similar precision environment
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Cleanroom protocols and contamination control
    • Precision part handling and packaging standards
  • Experience with:
    • Inspection methods (visual, dimensional, defect identification)
    • Work instructions, travelers, and quality documentation
  • Ability to:
    • Lead by example in a high‑discipline environment
    • Train and mentor junior technicians
    • Maintain consistency under high‑volume, high‑precision conditions
