To thrive/succeed as the Project Manager, you should have:
  • Proven experience (2 to 8 years) in project management, production coordination, manufacturing operations, or a similar role within a custom manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy equipment environment.
  • Strong knowledge of bills of material (BOMs), production routing, scheduling, labor tracking, and manufacturing documentation, with the ability to support efficient project execution.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Acumatica, and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to manage project data, reporting, and production records.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, production documents, and job records to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills, with a high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Your responsibilities as the Project Manager will include:
  • Lead end-to-end project intake and pre-production planning by reviewing awarded jobs, identifying risks or missing requirements, and coordinating cross-functional kickoff meetings to ensure full alignment before production release.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain accurate bills of materials, routing, labor estimates, and ERP (Acumatica) job setups while coordinating with Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to ensure production readiness and material availability.
  • Manage production scheduling and job release activities, including creating job travelers, coordinating capacity with Manufacturing leadership, and ensuring all documentation and build requirements are complete and accurate for the shop floor.
  • Oversee active project execution by monitoring production progress, managing chassis check-in and intake activities, resolving cross‑departmental issues, and communicating schedule updates or delays to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Process and manage change orders, job closeout activities, and margin reconciliation, ensuring all scope changes are documented, implemented correctly in production, and reflected in final financial and operational reporting.
