Machine Operator- 1st Shift

Work Shift:

8hr-1st Shift (United States of America).

Machine Operator.

• Operate blow-mold/PET/injection molding machines, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems.
• Troubleshoot process problems and perform minor maintenance to ensure continued operation of the production line.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and company general manufacturing policies.
• Demonstrate safe work practices by wearing correct PPE and following safety policies.
• Adhere to the work schedule and demonstrate punctuality.
• Work effectively with others in a One Team Cross Functional attitude.
• Engage in continuous improvement processes and drive change within the plant.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and applicable regulations.
• Keep work area clutter free, clean, and organized.
• Perform preventive maintenance training, including mold, neck, and blow pin changes.
• Operate blow-mold machines to produce quality bottles.
• Adhere to quality control and blow mold process procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process problems.
• Perform bottle inspections, drop tests, quality checks, audits, weights, and packaging inspections.
• Make adjustments to meet product specifications.
• Perform minimal repair on blow-mold and support equipment.
• Escalate bottle abnormalities, defects, and quality issues immediately.
• Monitor and replenish packaging material supplies.
• Pick up dropped bottles, place into bins, and if needed into grinder.
• Ensure correct labeling, bottle description, and packaging of product per customer requirements.
• Move finished goods to designated area.
• Prepare and document daily production reports including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies.
• Prepare maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs.
• Receive instructions on specific job tasks from Lead Operator or Supervisor.
• Handle other duties as assigned by management; duties may vary by plant.

Minimum qualifications for the job.

• Basic mathematical skills.
• Basic computer experience.
• Blow mold experience.

Prefer High School diploma or GED.

Completion of Altium Production/Machine Operator training within 90 days of hire date.

Employee must stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds.

• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts in a production environment.
• Noise level is usually loud.
• Temperature fluctuations between hot and cold.
• PPE required in production department and other designated areas.
