TIG Welder (Stainless Pipe | 6G)
TIG Welder (Stainless Pipe | 6G) — $38-40/hour, 1st shift
Tired of slop work, weak teams, or dead-end shops?
If you're a skilled TIG welder who takes pride in clean, precision stainless work—but you're stuck in a shop that cuts corners, underpays, or doesn't challenge you—this is your way out.
We're looking for true craftsmen who want to work with high-end stainless process piping, run clean beads, and be surrounded by people who actually know what they're doing.
What Makes This Different
- Real stainless pipe welding — not repetitive junk work
- Advanced 6G TIG projects — the kind that builds your reputation
- Clean, modern shop (not a rundown, smoky hole)
- Consistent overtime — actually hit your earning potential
- Respect for your skill — you won't be babysat or micromanaged
What You'll Be Doing (The Work That Matters)
- Running high-quality TIG (GTAW) on stainless steel pipe in 6G positions
- Producing full-penetration welds for critical + high-pressure systems
- Performing open root welds (Schedule 10–160, Schedule 80)
- Handling prep work the right way — beveling, fit-up, alignment, root gaps
- Executing back purging like a pro (no sugaring, no garbage welds)
- Reading prints and actually understanding what you're building
- Working on real fabrication projects — process piping, stairs, ladders, and more
Bottom line:
If you take pride in clean welds and doing things right, you'll finally be in a place that matches your standards.
What You Bring
- 3–5+ years TIG welding (stainless pipe)
- Strong 6G experience (this is non-negotiable)
- Experience with open root + purge welding
- Ability to read blueprints without hand-holding
- Knowledge of stainless metallurgy and weld integrity
- A mindset of "do it right the first time"
Bonus Points If You've Done:
- 2" Schedule 80 stainless pipe in critical applications
- Oil & gas, process piping, or high-pressure systems
- Flux core / MIG for fabrication support
Why People Leave Their Jobs for This One
- 50+ hours consistently (real OT, not empty promises)
- 5x10 schedule — get your hours without chaos
- Rare weekend work — have a life outside the shop
- Opportunity to work both shop and field (no monotony)
- Be part of a crew that actually cares about quality
Work Environment
- Clean, organized shop in Phoenix, AZ
- Professional-grade equipment (200+ AMP TIG machines)
- Strong safety culture — PPE is respected, not ignored
- Team of skilled welders who pull their weight
Who This Is Perfect For
- The welder who's better than their current shop
- The guy fixing everyone else's bad welds
- Someone tired of production-over-quality BS
- A craftsman who wants to build real skill + make real money
