What You'll Be Doing (The Work That Matters)

• Running high-quality TIG (GTAW) on stainless steel pipe in 6G positions
• Producing full-penetration welds for critical + high-pressure systems
• Performing open root welds (Schedule 10–160, Schedule 80)
• Handling prep work the right way — beveling, fit-up, alignment, root gaps
• Executing back purging like a pro (no sugaring, no garbage welds)
• Reading prints and actually understanding what you're building
• Working on real fabrication projects — process piping, stairs, ladders, and more

What You Bring

• 3–5+ years TIG welding (stainless pipe)
• Strong 6G experience (this is non-negotiable)
• Experience with open root + purge welding
• Ability to read blueprints without hand-holding
• Knowledge of stainless metallurgy and weld integrity
• A mindset of "do it right the first time"

Bonus Points If You've Done:

• 2" Schedule 80 stainless pipe in critical applications
• Oil & gas, process piping, or high-pressure systems
• Flux core / MIG for fabrication support

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr.
