Position SummaryThe Injection Molding Operator is responsible for the production of molded components within injection molding production lines. This includes visual and dimensional part inspections, material handling, mixing resin-based materials, troubleshooting equipment, and documenting and escalating any defects found.

Duties- Visually inspect components made on injection molding machines and stage them as per standard work.
- Fulfills material handling duties.
- Lifts (up to 50 lbs), weighs, and mixes resin‑based materials.
- Generates and maintains production paperwork based on the schedule board and supervisor or technician directions.
- Performs production line startup, shutdown, and clearance under guidance.
- Conducts basic quality inspections of molded components.
- Follows the company’s medical manufacturing quality system per ISO 13485 and FDA guidelines to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- Adheres to company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Maintains mold machine operation within compliance standards.
- Notifies appropriate personnel of any equipment or system abnormalities.
- Assists in keeping the department compliant with Lean initiatives, including 5S.
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet facility objectives.
High School Diploma or GED.
Required Experience and Skills- Clear oral and written communication in English; ability to read and interpret work instructions.
- Safety knowledge and ability to share information across shifts.
- Reasoning ability to handle part and equipment variation and make sound decisions.
- Basic computer skills for data recording and electronic communication.
- Mathematical skills for weight calculations and cycle counting.
- Good attendance and availability for support on Saturdays and beyond normal working hours.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to read gages (e.g., micrometer, depth gauge, calipers).
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
