Position Summary
The Final Assembly Technician performs the final stages of vehicle production by installing components, verifying quality standards, and preparing completed vehicles for inspection and testing. This position plays a critical role in ensuring products meet company specifications, safety requirements, and customer expectations while supporting production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions- Install interior and exterior components, including flooring, seats, ramp systems, trim, and electrical equipment.
- Follow detailed work instructions and diagrams to complete final assembly tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Inspect all parts and assemblies for quality, fit, and function.
- Identify and report any defects, missing parts, or deviations from specifications.
- Ensure all work complies with Vantage Mobility’s quality standards and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and immediately report any unsafe conditions or incidents.
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with Quality, Paint, and Conversion teams to ensure seamless workflow between departments.
- Participate in continuous improvement discussions and assist in identifying opportunities for process efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework in automotive preferred, or equivalent hands‑on experience in automotive assembly, repair, or related work.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use power and hand tools safely.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Experience with vehicle modification, assembly, or manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work safely around machinery, tools, and manufacturing equipment.
Work is performed in an environment that may include exposure to manufacturing equipment, moving mechanical parts, noise, fumes, or varying temperatures, depending on the role.
