Soldering Technician
Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Soldering Technician to perform hand soldering, assembly, inspection, and rework of electronic components and printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies. This role requires the ability to work from schematics, assembly drawings, and work instructions while maintaining high quality and workmanship standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with through-hole and surface-mount technology (SMT) soldering and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Perform hand soldering and rework on electronic components and assemblies, including through-hole and surface-mount devices (SMT).
- Assemble, solder, and inspect PCB assemblies according to work instructions, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, assembly drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions.
- Inspect solder joints and completed assemblies using visual inspection tools and magnification equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials, components, or workmanship issues.
- Perform rework, touch-up, and repair of solder defects as required.
- Utilize appropriate hand tools, soldering equipment, and ESD-safe practices when handling electronic components.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all quality procedures, safety policies, and manufacturing standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and corrective action processes.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet manufacturing goals and customer requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronic assembly and soldering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong hand-soldering skills with experience in through-hole and SMT soldering.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and work instructions.
- Knowledge of IPC standards; IPC-A-610 certification or experience preferred.
- Familiarity with ESD procedures and proper electronic component handling.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn ERP or production tracking systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Phoenix, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
