Machine Operator
Location: 4239 N 39th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85019
Work Shift: 8 hr – 3rd Shift (United States of America)
Job Summary: Operate blow‑mold/PET/injection molding machines, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems. Responsible for troubleshooting process problems, performing minor maintenance, and ensuring continued operation of the production line while following Good Manufacturing Practices.
Responsibilities- Perform safe work practices by wearing correct PPE and following safety policies.
- Demonstrate punctuality and adhere to the work schedule.
- Work well with others and embrace continuous improvement processes.
- Adhere to company general manufacturing policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
- Keep work area clutter‑free, clean, and organized.
- Introduce preventive maintenance on mold, neck, blow pin, and other mechanical changes.
- Operate blow‑mold/PET/injection molding machines (including wheels, reciprocating or shuttle machines) to produce quality bottles.
- Adhere to quality control and blow‑mold process procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process problems.
- Perform bottle inspections such as drop tests, quality inspections during production, packaging and labeling.
- Conduct audits, weights, and quality checks.
- Make adjustments to meet product specifications.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repair on blow‑mold and support equipment.
- Immediately elevate all bottle abnormalities, defects and quality issues when found.
- Monitor supply levels of packaging materials and replenish as needed.
- Pick up dropped bottles, place into bins, and, if needed, into grinder.
- Ensure correct labeling, bottle description and packaging of product in accordance with customer requirements.
- Move finished goods to designated area.
- Prepare and document daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies, and other metrics.
- Prepare maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs.
- Receive instructions on specific job task from Lead Operator or Supervisor; assist with unusual problems and apply professional judgment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management; duties may differ by plant.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Blow‑mold experience.
- Preferable:
High School diploma or GED.
- Completion of Altium Production/Machine Operator training within 90 days of hire date.
- Frequent standing, walking, using hands to grasp/handle/feel, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling.
- Frequently lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts; loud noise level.
- Temperature fluctuation between hot and cold.
- PPE required.
