We are looking to hire a Manufacturing Operations Manager for a global leader in oil-free chillers. For this role, we are looking for candidates based in Phoenix, US.
Role Responsibilities:The Operations Manager is the second-in-command of the Phoenix manufacturing facility and is responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing operations across Production, Materials, Quality, Logistics and Customer Service Delivery (CSD), while partnering closely with Engineering and Plant Leadership.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for:
- Oversee and guide all operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead multiple functional departments to achieve daily operational objectives.
- Balance Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost to consistently achieve business goals.
- Ensure production readiness through effective material availability, labor planning and manufacturing capacity.
- Drive operational discipline through visual management, standard work and KPI management.
- Develop supervisors and future leaders while strengthening accountability throughout the organization.
- Build a high-performance manufacturing culture focused on ownership and execution.
- Delivering predictable operational results through disciplined execution, daily management, proactive problem solving and strong cross-functional leadership
- Analyze operational data and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
- Ensure effective capacity planning and labor utilization to meet production demands.
- Leadership development – Drive employee engagement and retention through effective communication and leadership presence on the production floor.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and succession planning activities.
- Support facility safety inspections and maintain required certifications
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Applied Science. You should also have:
- 6–10 years progressive manufacturing leadership experience within a leading HVAC manufacturing organization is strongly preferred.
- Experience leading manufacturing operations within one of the major HVAC manufacturers strongly preferred.
- Proven experience leading multiple operational departments including Production, Materials, Quality and Logistics.
- Experience leading manufacturing operations supporting 60-150+ hourly employees through front-line leaders.
- Demonstrated success improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Operational Excellence.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
- Experience supporting facility expansion, capacity growth or greenfield manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
