Summary
Under moderate supervision operates machinery and inspects machined components using precision measuring equipment while keeping accurate production records and maintenance logs.
Summary:
- Adhere to site specific quality systems and processes.
- Identify and accurately record scrap, maintenance requests, production documents.
- Use simple precision measuring equipment to ensure components meet engineering specifications.
- Understand and execute basic operations and tasks.
- Able to follow directions both written and oral.
- Demonstrate machining/mechanical aptitude.
- Aptitude to learn new responsibilities and tasks.
- May train others on operational and/or documentation procedures.
- Operate simple manufacturing equipment.
- Identify and appropriately report safety concerns, production issues, and documentation errors.
- Align and follow activities with company initiatives.
- Assist execution of continuous improvement projects.
- Report business or behavioral concerns timely and appropriately.
- Effectively collaborate with peers, functional departments, and visitors of Stryker.
- Listen and act appropriately regarding constructive feedback.
- Ask questions and seek direction from leaders, trainers, and peers.
- Other tasks as assigned.
What you need:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Requires 2 years of relevant experience.
- Must possess excellent organization and communication skills.
- Sterilization Tech certification or related experience
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- The ability to work with and/or machine small component parts.
- Must have good visual acuity and demonstrate fine motor skills/ability.
- Ability to operate small hand tools (ie: pilers, screwdrivers, hammer, wrenches, etc.) power tools, and common measuring equipment.
- Perform repetitive to frequent tasks using standard procedures and various conventions and/or manual machine tools.
$23.80/hr plus bonus potential and benefits.
