SHIFT:
Night Shift (20% night shift pay differential) / OD Grind Machinist Setup and Operate grinding machines to produce parts to established blueprint and engineering specifications for aerospace applications. Manual and CNC grinders.

Machines used are Heald , Toyoda OD manual and CNC, Okamoto CNC  & OD, and Kellenberger CNC.Grind Machinist Duties / Responsibilities Setup & operate to produce high precision aerospace components on ferrous and non-ferrous materials

Ability to setup and grind angles, contours, lines, spheres, etc. onto surfaces

Complete all required paperwork properly – inspection reports, SPC, job travelers, etc.

Ability to hold tolerances of .0002” - .0005” while maintaining a high level of productivity

Able to work independently and stay on task – operate 2 machines regularly

Ability to problem solve and communicate process improvement suggestions with management

Grind Machinist Required Skills / Abilities Familiarity with Toyoda, Okamoto, and Kellenberger Grinders, Heald a plus Proficient with standard types of inspection equipment – Indicating Micrometers, Bore Gages, Sunnen Gage, & Test Indicators Read and interpret of B/P’s including assemblies, dimensions, tolerances, symbols, notes, abbreviations, GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing), and any other standard nomenclature per customer, government, or industry standards and following directions

Experience in grinding holding tolerances of .0002” - .0005” preferred

Strong attention to detail, quality-focused, and willing to learn

General knowledge of standard shop practices and equipment

Grind Machinist Education / Experience High School or GEDCNC experience preferred but not required5+ years /OD grinding experience preferred, but will train lathe or mill machinist looking to grow in one of the most complete grind departments in the valley.
