FAA Assembly Mechanic Level 1
As an FAA Assembly Mechanic Level 1, you will play a key role in assembling, maintaining, and testing mechanical equipment, machinery, and components. This position involves identifying parts requiring replacement, ordering replacement parts as needed, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assemble and construct mechanical components according to specifications and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Conduct testing to verify equipment functionality and safety.
- Identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning parts requiring replacement.
- Coordinate and place orders for replacement parts as needed.
- Follow established work instructions and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Apprenticeship completion or formal technical training is a plus.
Experience:
- 0 to 2 years of related experience required.
- Entry-level candidates with mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge &
Skills:
- Familiarity with common mechanical concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and established guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Working conditions:
- Lift up to 30 lbs without significant repetition.
- Moderate exposure to machinery, chemicals, biological agents, and physical workplace hazards.
- Operate powered industrial equipment, including industrial trucks as required.
Important requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (FAA requirement).
- Steel-toed footwear required.
- Must be available to start immediately upon completion of onboarding and FAA clearance.
- Overtime must be pre-approved by the client supervisor.
