Role Description This full-time, on-site CNC Lathe Programmer role is based in Phoenix, AZ. The CNC Lathe Programmer is responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs for lathe operations to meet production requirements and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, selecting appropriate tooling, setting up machines, and overseeing machining processes to ensure accurate part production. The role involves troubleshooting machining and programming issues, performing test runs and inspections, and collaborating with machinists and production staff to improve efficiency and throughput.

The CNC Lathe Programmer is also expected to maintain safe work practices, document program changes, and support continuous improvement of machining methods and workflows.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong CNC Programming with Fusion
    360 skills for Haas SL20 & ST10 lathes, operations and related machining processes.
  • Candidates should possess Technical Drawing skills, including the ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.
  • Candidates should possess Lathe skills, with hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC equipment.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of tooling, materials, tolerances, and quality inspection methods relevant to precision metalworking.
  • Experience with CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas or similar), G-code, and CAD/CAM Fusion 360 software is highly beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality are required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a shop environment, manage multiple jobs, and meet production deadlines.
  • Relevant technical training or certification in machining or CNC technology is preferred; prior experience in a precision manufacturing setting is an advantage.
