Welder

a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb;}tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #;}tr th { background-color: #;}Position Summary The Welder is responsible for performing welding, fabrication, and repair work on transmission components and related assemblies within a manufacturing environment. This position requires the ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, technical drawings, and procedure manuals to ensure components are welded and repaired to company quality standards.

While performing the duties of this job, the Welder is regularly required to stand for extended periods and must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Prior manufacturing and welding experience is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform MIG, TIG, spot, or other welding processes as required to repair and remanufacture transmission and torque converter components.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications to determine welding requirements.

Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.

Inspect welded assemblies and components to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Grind, clean, and prepare surfaces before and after welding operations.

Identify and report defects, equipment issues, or quality concerns.

Maintain production goals while ensuring the highest levels of quality and accuracy.

Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.

Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on welding equipment.

Work closely with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to resolve production and quality issues.

Assist with process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred.

Previous welding experience in a manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environment required.

Experience with MIG and TIG welding preferred.

Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.

Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers is a plus.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
