We are looking for a Reprographics Specialist focused on providing timely, high-quality production and reproduction of materials and enhancing public services. Our desired candidate will have specific experience operating high-speed digital printing and other print center equipment to complete production orders, many of which are large-scale and high-volume. Skills in report binding, foam-core mounting, wide-format plan copying, and copy machine service (e.g., replacing toner cartridges, staples, clearing paper jams, setting up service calls, ordering paper, etc.)
will be essential to success in this role. This position involves a high degree of interaction with a wide range of customers, and the ability to adapt to constant change is paramount. The Maricopa County Department of Transportation has two copy centers, both located in the same building, so you will need to plan and coordinate all print center workflow activities and operations.
This includes receiving, assessing, and prioritizing multiple job orders and assignments; planning and scheduling work appropriately; and ensuring compliance with department production standards and timelines. Your adventure with Maricopa County awaits!

- One (1) year of experience operating a variety of reprographics equipment
- High school diploma or GED
- Post-secondary education may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
- We Also Value Three (3) or more years of experience operating reprographics equipment
- Experience using Adobe Suite applications (Print Shop, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), Microsoft Word and Publisher, and print management software
- Large format printing experience, Versa Works RIP, contour cutting, mounting on foam-core, corrugated plastic, installation of perforated window graphics, and vinyl decals
- Copier experience – Command Workstation, Job Master, coil binding, managing a small fleet of printing devices
- Operates reprographics equipment (i.e., Ricoh Aficio Pro C5100s with Fiery command center, booklet finishers, spiral bind equipment, multi-fold unit, and 3-hole punch, Ricoh Aficio MP7502, Wide Formant Printer Ricoh Aficio MP W5100EN, Fletcher 3100 Foam Board Cutter, Triumph 4850 A Electric Cutter, Ledco Laminator)
- Operates binding equipment to produce a variety of reports, public meeting notices, brochures, door hangers, postcards, foam board signage, and posters, etc.
- Creates, develops, and implements quality assurance methodology
- Maintains appropriate supply inventory and acts as a liaison with supply/print vendors
- Creates labels for binders, tabs, file folders, and disks, loads copiers in the reprographics center with paper & toner
- Troubleshoots basic equipment problems for all MCDOT copiers, removes paper jams, and places service calls when needed
- Produces, maintains, and delivers reports containing production statistics monthly to the supervisor
- Identifies under-utilized copiers and suggests areas of relocation
- Evaluates capacity in the reprographics area and facilities distribution
- Manages complex production projects and evaluates the color quality of printing and copying
