The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $19.00 - $19.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role:
As a Solder Technician, you will perform precision soldering and electronic assembly work on components, circuit boards, wiring, cables, and related assemblies. You will work from established procedures, drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation to ensure products meet required quality and workmanship standards.
This position is ideal for someone with strong hand-soldering skills, attention to detail, and experience working with small electronic components in a manufacturing or production environment.
Essential Responsibilities- Perform hand soldering of electronic components, wires, cables, connectors, and assemblies.
- Solder and rework through-hole and surface-mount components as required.
- Assemble electronic and electromechanical components according to work instructions, drawings, and production documentation.
- Inspect solder joints and completed assemblies to ensure they meet workmanship and quality standards.
- Perform basic rework and repair of soldered components and assemblies.
- Identify defects such as insufficient solder, solder bridges, cold solder joints, damaged components, or incorrect component placement.
- Use soldering irons, heat guns, hand tools, magnification equipment, and other production tools safely and effectively.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, diagrams, work instructions, and technical documentation.
- Complete required production and quality documentation accurately.
- Maintain proper handling of electronic components and follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures.
- Previous hand-soldering or electronics assembly experience required.
- Experience soldering small electronic components, wires, cables, connectors, or printed circuit boards.
- Familiarity with through-hole and/or surface-mount soldering techniques preferred.
- Ability to perform detailed work using magnification equipment.
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to read and follow drawings, diagrams, work instructions, and technical documentation.
- Basic understanding of electronic components and assemblies.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 workmanship standards is a plus.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Candidates may be required to successfully complete a soldering assessment as part of the selection process.
