Weyerhaeuser seeks a safety-focused Forklift and Building Material Operator to support mill operations. You will operate forklifts to move, load, and unload lumber and building products, stage materials for production and shipping, and assist with inventory and documentation. This on-site role requires strict adherence to safety procedures, equipment inspections, and housekeeping standards. You'll collaborate with production and logistics teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, contributing to sustainable wood products and benefiting from competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload lumber and building materials
- Stage, stack, and organize materials to support production and shipping schedules
- Inspect forklifts and report maintenance or safety issues promptly
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout rules
- Assist with inventory counts, labeling, and basic documentation
- Work closely with production and shipping teams to meet daily goals
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free work area
- Support continuous improvement and sustainability practices in the mill
