Meat Cutter

US Foods is hiring a Meat Cutter to produce high-quality custom meat cuts for food service customers in a wholesale distribution environment. This role is responsible for breaking down primals and sub-primals, trimming, portioning, weighing, and packaging meat to exact customer specifications while following strict food safety, USDA, and company quality standards. The Meat Cutter will operate meat-cutting equipment safely, maintain clean, sanitary work areas, rotate stock, and inspect products for quality.

The position works in a refrigerated environment and requires strong attention to detail, productivity, and teamwork to meet order and production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, and portion meat products to custom customer specifications
• Operate knives, saws, and other meat-cutting equipment safely and efficiently
• Ensure all products meet US Foods quality, yield, and presentation standards
• Follow USDA, HACCP, and company food safety and sanitation procedures
• Weigh, label, wrap, and package meat accurately for orders
• Inspect meat for quality, freshness, and proper rotation (FIFO)
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in refrigerated conditions
• Meet daily production, accuracy, and waste reduction targets
• Work collaboratively with production and warehouse teams to fulfill orders
• Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and report any equipment issues
