Position Overview:

The FAA Assembly Mechanic Level 1 is responsible for assembling, maintaining, and testing mechanical equipment and components to ensure proper functionality and safety. This role includes identifying and replacing worn or defective parts and supporting ongoing operational efficiency in a regulated FAA environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assembly:
  Assemble mechanical components in accordance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintenance & Testing:
  Perform routine maintenance and functional and safety testing of equipment.
• Part Identification:
  Detect damaged, worn, or malfunctioning components requiring replacement.
• Ordering:
  Order replacement parts as needed to maintain production continuity.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent required; apprenticeship or formal technical training preferred.
• Experience:
  
  0–2 years of related experience.
• Knowledge:
  Basic understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures in a mechanical environment.
• Supervision:
  Works under immediate supervision following established guidelines.
• Reporting:
  Reports to a supervisor or manager.

Special Considerations:

• Physical Demands:
  Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (non-repetitive).
• Work Environment:
  Moderate exposure to machinery, chemicals, and physical hazards.
• Equipment:
  Operation of powered industrial/heavy equipment may be required.

Additional Information:

• Overtime:
  Must be pre-approved by Client supervisor.
• Contract-to-Hire:
  Conversion based on performance, attendance, and dependability.
• Start Date:
  
  Flexible pending onboarding completion and FAA clearance.
• Availability:
  Candidates must be available to start immediately upon completion of onboarding.
• Safety Gear:
  Steel-toed footwear required.
• Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Timekeeping:
  Time must be reported weekly using TWB. Supplier must register in Fieldglass on behalf of the worker (direct worker access not required).
