The Test Equipment Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the management, maintenance, calibration, repair coordination, and inventory control of electronic test equipment used in production and engineering operations. This position ensures all test equipment remains calibrated, operational, and compliant with company quality standards while supporting production schedules and minimizing equipment downtime.
The successful candidate will work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Metrology, and external calibration and repair vendors to ensure equipment availability and regulatory compliance.
What You Will Do- Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the test equipment program.
- Maintain, organize, and track electronic test equipment inventory throughout its lifecycle.
- Monitor equipment condition and identify defective or malfunctioning equipment requiring maintenance or repair.
- Coordinate shipment of damaged or non-functional equipment to approved repair and calibration vendors.
- Perform asset management functions, including equipment identification, inventory control, status tracking, and documentation.
- Manage preventive maintenance schedules for electronic test equipment and metrology assets.
- Coordinate calibration activities to ensure all equipment remains compliant with internal quality procedures and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate calibration certificates, maintenance records, repair history, and asset documentation.
- Schedule upcoming calibration activities with the Production team to minimize operational downtime and avoid overdue calibrations.
- Track calibration due dates and ensure timely completion of all required services.
- Maintain equipment databases and inventory records using Microsoft Office and company tracking systems.
- Coordinate equipment certification, verification, and return-to-service activities following repair or calibration.
- Work with vendors to obtain repair estimates, monitor repair status, and expedite turnaround when necessary.
- Support internal and external quality audits by maintaining complete equipment records and documentation.
- Assist Engineering and Production personnel in locating, issuing, and returning test equipment.
- Recommend replacement of obsolete or non-repairable equipment when appropriate.
- Maintain an organized and efficient equipment storage area while ensuring proper handling and protection of company assets.
