Hot Foot Recruiters is hiring a Sled Lab Test Technician to support testing operations for an aerospace manufacturing company specializing in aircraft safety systems. This is a hands‑on, mechanical role assisting with crash sled testing of aircraft seats and safety equipment that is ideal for candidates with mechanical aptitude, hand tool experience, or automotive backgrounds.

Position: Sled Lab Test Technician

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Type: Full‑Time | Temp (Potential Temp‑to‑Hire)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Overtime: Available daily (optional, not mandatory)

Pay: $20/hr

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities
  • Assist with assembly of crash sled test setups, including fixtures and aircraft seats
  • Use basic hand tools to build, adjust, and secure test components
  • Support test execution, including setup verification and teardown
  • Take measurements (tape measure) and assist with data collection and entry
  • Assist with test documentation and photography
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment
  • Assist with test fixture setup, including bolting down heavy fixtures and components
  • Support pre‑ and post‑test data collection, entry, and documentation
  • Assist with test photography and recording results
  • Support decelerator setup, teardown, and basic maintenance
Qualifications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Experience using basic hand tools (automotive, mechanical, or assembly background preferred)
  • Ability to read a tape measure (preferred)
  • Basic computer/data entry skills
  • Able to speak and understand English
  • Ability to use hand tools and read basic drawings/measurements
  • Mechanical aptitude (automotive, assembly, or shop experience preferred)
  • Comfortable working around moving mechanical equipment in a lab/test environment
  • Reliable and able to support a temporary assignment
  • Must be able to provide U.S. Person documentation (U.S. Passport, U.S. Passport Card, Birth Certificate, or Permanent Resident Card)
