CNC Lathe Operator – 2nd Shift Overview

Axian Technology is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator to join our team on 2nd Shift. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC lathes in a precision machining environment and be comfortable working from customer drawings and established work instructions.

This position is an important part of our production team, producing high-quality precision-machined components for the aerospace and defense industries.

• Operate CNC lathes to produce precision-machined components to customer specifications.

• Load and unload machines and monitor production runs.

• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.

• Verify dimensions and part quality throughout the production run.

• Make basic machine adjustments as needed to maintain part quality.

• Identify and report quality issues, tooling problems, or machine abnormalities.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.

• Accurately record production and job-related information.

• Work effectively with setup personnel, supervisors, inspectors, and other members of the production team.

• Previous CNC lathe operating experience preferred.

• Aerospace or precision machining experience preferred.

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and work instructions.

• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 pm - 1:30 am

This is an onsite position at our North Phoenix facility.
