Overview

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. Position Summary:
McCarthy is seeking a Marketing Coordinator with a focus on communications and proposal development, to be based onsite at the Southwest office in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate has a strong project management skillset and demonstrates excellent communication.

Responsibilities
  • A strategic individual who can partner with BD, Operations, and Marketing team members to develop best-in-class marketing deliverables, including proposals, presentations, creative and technical writing, award submissions, and more.
  • Strong project management skills, including time management, communication, organization, and proactiveness.
  • Demonstrates a well-rounded balance of creativity and process-driven skills.
  • Team player who thrives in a collaborative, in-person environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Technical Skills
  • Ability to lead a team through storyboarding and messaging exercises to build a compelling client-focused strategy.
  • Strong writing skills, particularly for press releases, creative writing, storytelling, and proposal efforts.
  • Strong facilitation skills with a proven ability to develop marketing deliverables in a live, collaborative environment.
  • Understanding and experience using CRM databases (Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a plus).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related marketing or communications role.
  • Strong writing portfolio demonstrating storytelling, AP style and/or creative writing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, and/or Photoshop is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • A desire to work in the construction industry, collaborate effectively, and help grow the business.
