360, a Lexis Nexis company, is looking for a News Assistant to support our legal news coverage. The role includes checking federal and state court dockets, monitoring regulatory databases and websites, pitching story ideas to editors, tracking congressional hearings, and eventually writing news articles.

• Check federal and state court dockets for relevant stories.
• Monitor regulatory databases and websites for new developments.
• Pitch story ideas to editors.
• Track congressional hearings and other noteworthy events.
• Write and report news stories as opportunities arise.

Hours:

12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (ET), Monday – Friday.

Location:

Remote (can be performed anywhere within the United States).

• Demonstrated research and writing skills.
• Solid organizational skills.
• Media or publishing industry experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field.

Salary: $60,000 per year.

Primary location base pay range (NY): $20,600 – $34,400. U.S. national base pay range: $17,100 – $28,700.
