We are seeking a Senior Social Media Specialist to help shape and execute the organization’s corporate digital presence. This role combines strategic thinking, creative storytelling, social media expertise, and data-driven decision-making. You’ll develop engaging content, manage corporate social channels, monitor digital conversations, and use analytics to continually improve audience engagement and communications effectiveness. The position also provides exposure to high-visibility corporate initiatives and opportunities to collaborate with stakeholders across a large, complex organization.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and execute social media and digital content strategies that strengthen corporate reputation, audience engagement, and brand affinity.
- Create and edit compelling, platform-specific content across organic and paid social channels, translating complex or long‑form information into concise, engaging communications.
- Manage and monitor corporate social media platforms, including community engagement, social listening, reputation management, and identification of emerging trends.
- Analyze and report on digital performance metrics, developing executive‑level insights and recommendations to improve content strategy and channel effectiveness.
- Collaborate with communications and cross‑functional teams on high‑profile corporate initiatives, supporting content across digital communications, video, newsletters, intranet, email, and other channels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, English, or a related field with 7+ years of relevant communications experience, including a significant focus on social media; OR a master’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong hands‑on experience with social media platforms, content creation, social listening, monitoring, analytics, and digital communications tools.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, including a strong command of grammar and familiarity with AP style and corporate communications best practices.
- Experience with graphic design and digital content production, with the ability to create or oversee compelling visual content.
- Excellent judgment, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive information and high‑visibility projects in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience supporting communications for a large, multi‑location or global organization.
- Background in mining, natural resources, industrial, energy, or another complex operational environment.
- Strong video and photography capabilities.
- Bilingual communication skills.
