The Marketing & Business Development department is seeking a Content Manager to lead the firm’s content development and editorial strategy across marketing and business development initiatives. This role is responsible for shaping and managing high-quality, client-focused content that strengthens the firm’s brand, supports revenue-generating initiatives, and enhances visibility across priority industries and practices.
Success in this role requires partnering closely with attorneys, business development professionals, and firm leadership to translate complex legal capabilities, alerts, newsletters, blogs, attorney bios, and practice descriptions into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with clients and prospects. This role will oversee the firm’s editorial calendar, campaign-related content, and core marketing materials while ensuring consistency with the firm’s voice, positioning, and style standards.
This position reports to the Director of Marketing and manages a Marketing Coordinator/Specialist.
Candidate may work fully remote and must reside in one of the following states: AZ, CA, DC, FL, IL, IN, LA, MA, MD, MN, MS, MO, NJ, NY, PA, RI, TX, VA or WI.
Responsibilities:Thought Leadership Strategy, Production, and Management
- Lead the development and execution of a firm-wide content strategy aligned with business development priorities, industry initiatives, and campaign objectives.
- Oversee the creation, editing, and maintenance of core content assets, including website copy, client alerts, thought leadership, and firm messaging.
- Ensure all content reflects a consistent, client-centric voice and adheres to firm brand and style guidelines.
- Identify opportunities to repurpose and extend content across digital platforms to maximize reach and engagement.
- Oversee the production and management of audio/video content, including podcasts and video; oversee developing scripts, recording, editing, distribution, and promotion
- Own and manage the firm’s editorial calendar, aligning content production with strategic campaigns, key industry events, and practice priorities in close collaboration with PR Manager to ensure cohesion and consistency between earned and owned media promotion.
- Partner with business development and campaign leads to develop integrated content plans that support multi-channel marketing initiatives.
- Monitor project timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.
- Oversee the creation and refinement of practice, industry, and campaign one-pagers, pitch-related content, and other client-facing materials.
- Translate complex legal services into clear, benefit-driven messaging that articulates value to clients.
- Ensure materials are current, aligned with firm positioning, and optimized for both digital and print use, collaboration with content used in proposals and RFPs.
- Maintain and evolve the firm’s content style guide, ensuring consistency in tone, voice, grammar, and formatting across all communications.
